As a business owner with a fleet and using pro-bilt in the past, my experience with Pro-Bilt was poor as far as transparency goes, definitely not the same company as before. over the phone is was “2600.00 for the transmission overhaul, and we do offer a core on transmissions”, I load up the core transmission into the work van and bring it to them w/ 1500 cash to get started, when I get there in person it really was $400 more “tax, hazmat fees”. No big deal. Then 3-4 days later I get the call…”I have your transmission out and took apart on the bench and it’s gonna be another $700 for parts”. First time I’ve ever got that from a transmission shop. I figured ok, they have a core transmission that’ll help me out a little, and was told “we’ll work that core transmission out on the bill when you pick it up”. Well I picked it up today and got…“we’er not interested in a core transmission” payment options are… -Cash (no discount) -card payment with the 3% fee -cashiers check or printed check I was able to pay with a check and get back on the road. I just feel like a pro transmission builder would have said something along the lines of “it’s gonna be $3800, and I’m not interested in a tran

I would not recommend EVER going to them for transmission work, brought my car in because it felt like it was trans related. they did a a test to see what was wrong and said it was the torque converter. was told there was other problems but things they could not do. I specifically asked if I should do the other stuff first or would the trans fix the problem they said trans had to be done first, I get it back 3 weeks later and it drove the exact same if not worse. they said they test drove it but the odometer said 1.1 miles. so it obviously wasn’t driven long enough to know. picked it up and only made it 2 miles away to take it back to them for them to tell me to go to another place work it was actually fixed for the real problem, untrustworthy people who don’t deserve your hard earned money. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I have a 2010 ss camaro with a stage 4 btr cam in it the transmission was broken so I bought a 2012 thinking it would work but it had park reverse neutral and in drive it stayed in 3rd gear. I called pro bilt and they said it needed reprogrammed and they could do it and get it on the road in 30 mins. I took the car that afternoon and dudes son had left early so he would have to do it the next day. He then asked me what was done to the car and asked if the car was tuned and i had to tell him multiple times the car has been tuned. He called me the next day and told me he tried 4 times and it wouldnt work then proceeded to try and sell me a transmission that was rebuilt with a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. I get there to pick up the car and he tells me that him having to try so many times reset the tune on the car to the factory tune. And then tells me the transmission he wants to sell me i have to pay first and wait for him to get the transmission and its a used transmission with over 100k miles and for me to run it in my car I can't put my stall converter on it cause it voids the warranty and the transmission is 2800$. So now my car doesn't run transmission still doesn't work and I'm

Called and asked for a specific transmission gasket. To person on the phone asked me to hold and came back with the news he had one in stock. Told him I would be down the next day to pick it up. When I arrived, the same person recognized my request and handed me the gasket. While there, he also let me know another part I mentioned I might be needing was available and he could have almost immediately. I will definitely call again when the need arises. Thanks for the good service.

Called in about an issue with my vehicle’s 4 wheel drive. I was able to bring my vehicle in on the same day for a diagnosis. The gentlemen that assisted me were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I appreciate the time they spent explaining their diagnosis of my vehicle’s 4 wheel drive.
